Years ago, iam8bit and Konami joined forces to create the Sunset Riders 10” Vinyl Soundtrack. Like the arcade hit itself, it was an instant cult classic; 24 tracks of 16-bit Wild West chiptune beats by the wizards at KONAMI KUKEIHA CLUB, mastered especially for vinyl on a “clear smoke” 10 inch LP. The release became an important moment in iam8bit history, and consequently, the history of video game vinyl as a whole.
Now, Steve, Billy Cool, Bob, and Cormano Wild are ready to ride once again. This is the Sunset Riders 10” Vinyl Soundtrack, reissued and freshly pressed on Orange Crush vinyl. All 24 tracks are here again, in all their glory. Plus, we’ve updated the original pixel-powered album art from Drew Wise, presenting it on a fresh die cut bullet hole-riddled jacket. It’s all part of the iam8bit 20th Anniversary Collection.
