Inspired by three years of daily journaling and sketching, Spiral Bound chronicles the gentle, arduous process of healing from extreme burnout and unresolved trauma.
Over its six tracks, Rebecca Sugar explores themes of regret, forgiveness, rest, and respite, all through deeply personal lyrics accompanied by the cozy, dulcet sounds of acoustic strings and omnichord loops.
This kindhearted gem of an album originally saw a limited release, but it quickly gained a loyal fanbase. That’s why we at iam8bit are so happy to have the chance to bring it to a wider audience with the Spiral Bound 10” Vinyl.
We’ve reformatted the album to fit on a 10” eraser pink vinyl disc, a color chosen to keep in line with its journaling origins. What’s more, Rebecca Sugar herself was kind enough to provide brand new album artwork. If you’ve ever spent time sketching yourself, its inky-blue aesthetic is sure to call to mind those moments of self-reflection and creativity.
